About Us
Welcome to Grundner Financial Group, a family owned and operated financial services organization in Naperville, IL. Our mission is to work with our clients to:
Grundner Financial Group was developed in November 2012 by Steven Grundner. After 5 years of experience in the industry working for large organizations such as Bankers Life & Casualty, Penn Life, New York Life, NYLIFE Securities, Guardian Life, and Park Avenue Securities, Steven quickly learned that there was no "one size fits all" when it came to insurance and financial planning. It was time to expand beyond the parameters of the company he represented so that he could effectively plan for his clients in the most affordable manner.
In order to work more efficiently for his clients, Steven chose to expand his practice by becoming an independent broker of Grundner Financial Group. Grundner Financial Group represents many fine companies and accesses a wide array of financial platforms.

Hello and welcome to Grundner Financial Group!
It is my pleasure to introduce myself as your local resource for financial and insurances services. That being said, here is a brief introduction to who I am, why I do what I do, and what inspires me to work with folks like you.
Originally born in West Allis, Wisconsin, I moved to Naperville in 1994 where I spent most of my childhood and young adult years. After graduating from Neuqua Valley High School in 2001, I ventured to Boulder, CO to attend the University of Colorado. In 2004 I graduated with a Bachelors in Science with a focus in Political Science. Shortly after graduating, I returned home to Naperville where I met my greatest supporter, best friend and wife, Rachel Grundner. Today we live in Naperville and do our best to be active community members through local Chambers of Commerces, Naperville Jaycees, young professional organizations and more.
I became a financial advisor because I enjoy helping my clients navigate through the confusion of the financial world. Although it is hard to admit it, even to ourselves, It is more common than not to be uninformed or misinformed. Therefore, I have made it my mission to implement full transparency so that you know the exact details of why and how you are making financial decisions. This is important because it offers a real world solution based on fundamental principles that are outside of common thought. As my client, I will help you sleep better at night knowing that you have a systematic plan that accounts for "life", otherwise known as, the unexpected.
My approach? You and I work as a team to start with planning from the ground up. The first thing that we do is protect what you have. I whole heartedly believe in creating reward with very little to no risk. I teach my clients the key elements of saving as at the end of the day, your rate of savings is much more important than your rate of return.
So how does the process start? The first thing we work collaboratively to do is get you organized. After all, how can we know the best way to proceed unless we understand all of your financial obligations and how they are interdependent? Therefore, organization is key! Second is to maximize protection. We aim to protect what you have before you can accumulate more. Why you ask? Because if something unforeseen happens, everything you have accumulated can be at risk. The third step is to focus on savings, thus, saving an appropriate amount so that you mitigate any potential financial risks.
Ultimately, it is my professional goal to help as many people as I can to become financially independent. It is my vision that in certain events such as a stock market or housing crash, my clients will be properly allocated so that these circumstances will not have a negative effect on them, their families, or their lifestyle. Conversely, such situations will provide a great opportunity to take advantage of their strategic savings, knowing that they have money readily available for the perfect opportunity to buy.
So what's next? The first step to any meaningful growth is stepping outside of your comfort zone. Information is power, never stop learning. Let me know how I can help increase your knowledge and awareness to achieve your financial freedom.
Sincerely,
